How An Insult Drove Ferruccio Lamborghini To Create The World’s First Supercar —

It’s basically the story of how the underdog took down the Big guy!

In April 1916, a simple guy named Ferruccio Lamborghini was born. Just a guy from a family in Italy.

His father grew grapes in his field. He frequently shows him how wine is made and wanted Ferruccio to be a man like himself.

Ferruccio listens to his dad like a good guy but his interest was in mechanical equipments and machines.

How?

His father had a little garage where he kept his all tractors and cropping stuffs.

When the tractors jammed and gets rusted and didn’t work.

Ferruccio himself fixes and repairs the tractors and made them work on.

Seeking his passion for mechanical engineering and curiosity about how the machines works.

He got admission in a college and didn't look back to farming again.

He was following his passion (you guys too!) He then worked for the army where his repairs the machines and tanks working like crazy man.

After working and learning the army vehicles repairing skills.

He contributed a lot in world war 2 as he served as a mechanic in the Air force department.

After Italy surrendered, he was posted and the region came to german domination.

He was prisioned there for a year. As his working skills where unstoppable, he was freed soon.

That time was so heartbreaking for Ferruccio, his wife died in 1947, he had a boy child. In the cause of his wife death, he was working all day.

Ferruccio's dad ordered he wants a tractor as in that time Italy was battling with food crisis. Most of the Italians were shifted towards agriculture and Crop-vegetations.

That changed his entire career. He knew how to he this can lead to a tractor making business by providing values to the people's needs and it's also beneficial for the country's economy and providing what's in need at that time.

An Billion Dollar idea was born.

The old tractors were knocked out due to heavy damage in the war. He rebrand the tractors and customised them.

He then founded his own agriculture machinery company called Lamborghini Trattori.

Ferruccio knew how to turn the idea into opportunity. He company grew rapidly and soon his tractors got popularized in Italy.

He was making profits.

He bought several cars from top brand car companies like Ferrari, Mercedes benz,etc.

He found out Ferrari cars were made with tractor parts.So, He went to Enzo Ferrari and Ferrari slammed him.

Best vs Best!

Ferruccio said, You build your beautiful cars with my tractor parts.”

Enzo Ferrari told him: 'You are a tractor driver, you are a farmer. You shouldn't complain driving my cars because they're the best cars in the world”.

Lamborghini told him, ‘Oh, yes, I am a farmer! I’ll show you how to make a sports car and I will do a sports car by myself . . . to show you how a sports car has to be.’

By 1963 Lamborghini had officially founded his auto company, the Automobili Lamborghini.

Mr. Lamborghini immediately began recruiting the best team he could find to compete with his new car-making rival.

Many people criticized Ferruccio for building a sports car that would compete directly with such a powerful brand as Ferrari. After 9 months, he introduced his first car Lamborghini 350 GT Model.

People criticized and also supported him. She showed Ferrari, Don't Underestimate Anyone. After years Lamborghini regarded as No.1 Sportscar making company.

Soon In 1970s, Lamborghini's Miura was the fastest production car in the world.
